Hi, I use Evernote on daily basis (pro account), and since I am using a X240 with Linux Mint 18.2 as my daily driver, I want-need to have access on my Evernote files.
After some search, I installed Nixnote 2.2. It synced pretty OK, not exactly fast, but reliable.
My problem is that my native language is Brazilian Portuguese. On Evernote in my 2nd machine (MBP) and my Android Phone (Nougat), everything runs ok. Even on Mint I can write on LibreOffice or standard apps as Emac editor in Portuguese.
On nixnote, I can creat a new note in Portuguese, but all the notes originally created on Evernote comes with a mess when I use the native characters, like ç, ô or à, for instance.
I tried to change the language everywhere inside the application, but could not find any place to do it.
Is there a way to do it?
Thanks!

Look under Edit/Preferences. In the last tab there is an option to force UTF-8 encoding. Please make sure it is checked.
