Set Custom UI Scaling

Postby st3vie » Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:36 pm

Not sure where to post this. These still seem to be issues with HiDPI support and the scaling of the interface. Iḿ currently on v2.0~beta11 on Ubuntu 17.04. I know that this part should probably go into Feature Request or another new Issue on Github, but I found a trick that makes it work with better scaling. A trick from QT5 actually.

You can set an environment variable on the command line when starting the application, like this:

Code: Select all

QT_SCALE_FACTOR=1.4 nixnote2

This makes the UI scale by 1.4, which for my laptop is great. I already use similar scaling for fonts for the Ubuntu interface.
Hope this helps anyone.

PS: does v2.0 final have options for font size / scaling?

greets, st3vie
